Title:Facilities Manager, Dorothy Jemison Day Theatre Reports to:Executive Director Job Description: Oversee all operations and functions of the DJD Theatre management including performances, rehearsals, maintenance, housekeeping, box office, schedules and contract labor.
Performance Responsibilities: •Contracts, technical riders, insurance certificates (COI) •Deposits, Ticketing/Box Office, House management •Receptions, concessions, which include the sale of legal beverages •Final billing reports and settlements •Purchase Orders •Budget maintenance •Weekly deposits and/or Box Office receipts •Repairs to existing facility and stage equipment •Procurement of new and/or replacement of equipment •Collecting all funds due to the theater from rentals •Work directly with ASFA financial office with deposits, payments, and expenditures •Be proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word •Contract laborers-provide W9 and submit time sheets for remuneration •Assist any of the departments at ASFA with usage of the DJD Theater including tutoring of students on the proper use of technical apparatus, stage equipment and controls
Qualifications: •Minimum of two years’ experience in venue management •Theater training, a BA in theater, or equivalency •Working knowledge of technical theater and stage production •References of “behind the scenes” live production experience. •Maintain certification in AED/CPR/First Aid •Extraordinary communication skills •Possess a calm and reassuring demeanor during all phases of the production schedule and work environment.
