What the role is all about:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position will provide strong leadership and business direction to the Guest Operations team. In this role you will work strategically with the Sales & Marketing team to develop, implement and bring to market products and services which will drive revenues and enhance our guest expectations. You will also assist and participate in establishing and directing internal goals and objectives and ensure alignment with the business objectives pertaining to the core business of WinSport.
Working with both the internal and external business partners of WinSport, you will develop and execute a strategic business plan that will provide clients with exceptional service offerings while driving the required revenues within the business model.
Provide effective fiscal management including developing and managing budgets, resources and departmental performance metrics.
Maintain high quality in customer experience and interactions while ensuring performance objectives are met/exceeded.
Working in conjunction with WinSport’s Marketing team, plan and prepare advertising and promotional material to increase sales of products or services
Operational control of all core attractions and activities including zipline, mountain bike, ski hill, tube park and plunge.
Identify and evaluate unique ways to improve the organization (cost reductions, use of resources, policies/procedures, products); generate new ideas, approaches or techniques to improve the business.
Drive current business initiatives while estimating future possibilities, for generating revenue, controlling cost and delivering high standard of product.
Provide insight into changes and recommendations for enhancements, processes and programs, translating guest experience data into insightful and actionable information that supports WinSport's goals and objective.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have the ability to multi-task. They will have an undergraduate degree in business or a related discipline as well as the following:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a operational leadership role within business, marketing and/or recreational field.
Minimum 5 years’ strategic management experience
Previous experience working in a related industry, including the areas of recreation, entertainment, public events and attractions.
Experience developing and executing business plans, promotions and strategic initiatives
Proven ability to create, produce and maintain a world class guest experience culture
Proven experience with guest experience programs and training
Strong team building and leadership skills
Ability to develop individuals and lead effectively through organizational changes
Strong written and verbal communications skills
