Pinnacle Venue Services has an exciting opening for the General Manager of the Birch Run Expo Center located in Birch Run, Michigan. The facility is a one hundred and ten thousand (110,000) square-foot multi-purpose venue. The facility includes two vast exhibition halls, 35 acres of outdoor space, and ample venue parking. The Center hosts a multitude of events including trade shows, concerts, sporting events, banquets, corporate events and weddings.
The General Manager is responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and overall management for the venue including: • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the client and develop strategic relationships and partnerships • Oversee all hiring, training, and scheduling of administrative and operations staff • Act as communication link with Pinnacle Venue Services' corporate staff • Booking and scheduling a variety of programming • Coordinate venue schedule and calendar for local and regional users • Develop and facilitate relationships with relevant community stakeholders • Oversee and manage facility budget to achieve fiscal goals • Marketing and promotion of the venue • Negotiating contracts and lease agreements • Develop short and long-term strategic plans
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and five (5) years of venue experience in a senior management position
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours as needed
