•Schedule security personnel for day to day operation and special events, adjusting schedules to reflect cost efficiency and building activity. •Assist with security budget preparation and track budget allocation throughout the year. •Conducts daily pre-shift briefings with assigned Security Team members to discuss all activities in the facility, including building maintenance and equipment projects. •Investigate, analyze and report on all incidents and accidents; coordinate activities and liaise with local and federal law enforcement agencies and fire departments to resolve problems, ensure a safe environment for guests. •Handle complaints, disturbances or related problems with the public, staff or event planners. •Manage, maintain and monitor the facility security systems and life safety systems. •Develop, maintain, and update patrolling system for the facility to ensure guest safety and property security. •Manage the facility hard key system. •Purchase/Order security related goods and services and approve of invoices for payment. •Develop, maintain and implement the facility Emergency Response Plan and train all applicable facility personnel on the Emergency Response Plan. •Develop and facilitate regular training on first aid, CPR, fire prevention, safety and equipment, accident prevention, security and emergency procedures to decrease accidents/incidents and reduce life and property liabilities and losses. •Facilitate the property's preparation, response and recovery for severe weather. This includes monitoring, alerting and activating resources in the event of a weather emergency. •Schedule, manage and oversee all contract security required for events. •Cover security post as schedule allows. •Work extended hours including nights, weekend and holidays as needed. •May perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility: •Ensure the security team is compliant with all applicable policies and procedures in accordance with Tennessee State laws. •Responsible for ensuring the security team is appropriately staffed to handle the needs of the business by hiring top talent; developing effective onboarding/training that includes ongoing development; create an environment of open communication through coaching. •Resolve conflicts among the team. •Conduct performance and salary reviews, administer progressive discipline where necessary.
A four-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum 5 - 7 years of supervisory experience in convention security services.
Work with surveillance systems.
Demonstrate knowledge of principles and techniques of planning, implementing and supervising a facility security force. Possess knowledge of security issues related to a public assembly venue.
Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, guests, and others encountered during employment.
Handle conflicts, make common sense decisions and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations.

OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
First Aid/CPR Certification required.
Ability to possess any appropriate licenses as required by the State.
Ability to acquire minimum certification in NIMS
Requires standing and walking about 60% of the time; may lift and carry objects up to 40 lbs.; Push or pull objects up to 200lbs using appropriate equipment; may climb stairs and ladders; may bend, twist, kneel, stoop and reach overhead;
Maintains irregular and extended working hours
May be exposed to irregular ranges of humidity and temperature.
