The Box Office Manager serves a critical role for KSU’s Department of Event and Venue Management by creating intentional learning rich environments where KSU students can gain hands-on experience in the sports management, entertainment management and venue management fields. This position will be directly responsible for building events, increasing revenue and be the primary liaison between the venue and the ticketing company. The Box Office Manager will oversee the day to day box office functions and serve as the primary revenue generator for each event campaign. The successful result will increase revenue while training and advising a cold call group.
This position duties are: Oversee the ticket sales and operations for all current and future ticketed events while upholding the highest standards of customer service.
Work closely with the Marketing department in regards to ticket sales initiatives.
Formulate action plans to increase revenue which may include, but not limited to, proactive season, group and individual ticket sales; up-selling individual tickets to season or partial season ticket plans; prospect and research new sales leads; outbound telemarketing campaigns; corporate presentations and community events. Improve the current ticketing operations of the department in all sales channels, including but not limited to, on-line buying experience, in-person sales and ticket order fulfillment.
Coordinate and produce business reports on ticketing for various areas including business services, promoters, and marketing.
Oversee Box Office operations on assigned game day events. Assist with the overall event environment experience.
Training, managing, motivating and advising student staff members and all game day ticket sales staff.
Work hours may regularly include evenings and weekends. Bachelor's degree and 3 years experience, including at least two years supervisory experience.
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Sales, Venue Administration, preferred.
2 years experience working in venue management- arena, complex or stadium setting for a major or mid-major university

Paciolan system knowledge
Knowledge of T. Res, building events and sale codes
2+ Years’ Experience Ticket Sales
