BOX OFFICE MANAGER Chaifetz Arena @ St. Louis University (Spectra Venue Management)
Summary: The Box Office Manager will direct, manage and supervise all ticket office functions including staffing, cash control, event management and third party/vendor relations.
Reports to: Director of Finance
Job Status: Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt)
Tasks and Responsibilities: •Manage all Box Office, Ticketmaster, external promoter and other internal departmental ticketing needs for Spectra Venue Management at Chaifetz Arena. •Manage and supervise all ticket office personnel including the Ticket Office Assistant and Ticket Sellers •Balance, deposit and report all daily ticket office receipts •Provide re-training and additional education as necessary for box office staff regarding TM Host, Archtics, mobile technology and customer service practices. •Create and distribute ticket office sales reports •Create and manage annual department budget •Continue innovative education as it relates to Box Office operations. •Provide insight to technological ticketing decisions and ensure the proper implementation is filtering through all internal sales/service, Sellers and Box Office management channels. •Establish and review operational policies and procedures for ticket office operations •Manage, update and maintain data on barcode server •Other duties as deemed necessary or as directed
Required Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications: • Advanced knowledge of computerized ticket sales, especially Ticketmaster Host & Archtics. • Significant successful compatible Ticket office operations experience and/or business experience • Strong math aptitude and ability to attend to detail • Proven effective management of multiple related areas • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and Word • Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface sills • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees and vendors • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends and holidays
