Position Summary: This position supports the Marketing Manager in various aspects of marketing and group sales functions, including promoting shows, placing advertising, social media management and promoting events and facilities managed by the Greenville Arena District (“GAD”).
Essential Job Functions: Through employee’s own efforts:
Provide marketing support for concerts, family shows, sporting events, tenants and other miscellaneous events. Develop, implement and evaluate marketing campaigns to maximize event awareness and exposure for aforementioned events. Assist in the negotiating, closing, implementing and evaluating media, promotional and sponsorship deals for events. Responsible for coordination and development of collateral materials such as promotional pieces, media releases, schedules, calendars, monthly newsletter, etc. Coordination of internet and database marketing programs and initiatives. Coordinate and implement grassroots marketing efforts. Assist in public relations efforts such as media releases, story pitches, interviews, etc. Manage venue website and other various interactive marketing outlets for the venue; Coordinate and maintain social media marketing platforms and opportunities; Implement and manage outbound email marketing campaigns; Coordinate selection and training assignments of marketing interns to ensure proper utilization and training/exposure to industry marketing field Point of contact for Group Sales; Cultivate current and new group sales relationships; Maintain detailed group sales database with client information; coordinate distribution of group sales information; manage order fulfillment; provide required sales reports for show settlements Be present at Arena-sponsored events as needed, including nights and weekends.
Bachelor’s degree - (preferably in marketing, communication, public relations or related field)
Minimum 2 years experience in media/marketing/promotions - 5 years preferred
Industry (live sports and entertainment venue) highly preferred, not required
Basis MS Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point skills
High level of creativity - ability to create marketing initiatives that unique and consistent with industry standards.
Basic Photo Shop and Adobe Illustrator skills
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work flexible schedule includes working including nights, weekends, and holidays
