Responsible for proactively growing business opportunities as well as servicing the events. Sales & Events Manager will be the liaison between the client and all on-site departments from initial contact, contract negotiations, pre-event planning, on site event coordination through final billing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales, sales, sales, sales. Highly skilled in obtaining new customers and booking new events.
Strategic business development strategies
Client presentations, outside sales appointments & site tours
Client/ internal department liaison
Creates menu estimates for clients
Creates meeting space diagrams
Works with the Chef to custom menus as needed
Manages xpectations for clients and internal departments
Creates banquet events orders and/or event logistics sheets of all requirements
Coordinates and communicates client requests to outside vendors as needed
Insures letter of agreement fulfillment
Over-seeing’s day of operations of events
Review final invoice before it is sent to the client.
Lead planning site for upcoming events
Engages in ongoing, continuing education and proactive research on latest trends in events
Performs other duties as assigned.
BS/BA and/or 3-5 years professional experience in sales & event coordination, with strong food and beverage knowledge.
Knowledge of High Star Ranch’s products and services
Working knowledge and experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, Social Tables, Gather and GoogleDocs
Ability to speak with confidence and communicate effectively with members, staff, and the public.
Highly driven with the ability to think and act independently within guidelines and limitations of authority.
Ability to organize projects and to prioritize work flow, and to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately.
Strong, well developed interpersonal and oral and written communications skills to express ideas effectively.
Ability to work overtime, nights and holidays as needed.
