The Development Associate is responsible for supporting fundraising operations for the IAVM Foundation. We’re seeking a detail-oriented, self-directed professional committed to playing a key role in IAVM Foundation’s fundraising activities, primarily with individuals, but also including corporate sponsors. Key activities include sending donor acknowledgements and other related materials, maintaining IAVM Foundation’s donor database and online fundraising portal, managing preparations for special fundraising events and donor meetings, generating reports for staff and Board, and general administrative support.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Assist in general office and administrative duties, including responding to phone inquiries and email inquiries
Provide administrative support for Director of Development
Meeting support: meeting/call logistics, preparation of meeting materials, minutes
Assist with tracking development-related expenses for the annual budget and financial reports
Coordinate the mailing of fundraising appeals and annual report, including appeal coordination, and printing
Assist as needed with the development of collateral or promotional materials
Maintain donor recognition in IAVM publications and online
Prepare and support director/volunteers with administrative and materials for fundraising appeals
Data entry of gifts, pledges, and event registrations
Manage donor database and donor acknowledgement process
Assist with preparation of donor/prospect profiles maintaining confidentiality
Run donor reports as assigned
Work with development and accounting staff to ensure consistency between the donor and accounting systems
Coordinate the logistics for fundraising events, including vendor arrangements, registration process and day-of- event logistics (silent auction, golf tournament and other fundraising events)
Manage the recruitment and coordination of the silent auction items
Provide support to committees and volunteers as needed for events or other development activities
Manage Foundation sponsorship fulfillment
Recruit and manage Foundation interns at events
Other Development Support
Maintain online fundraising portal
Assist with the tracking and reporting for Team Fundraising
Coordinate and execute scholarship program, internship program and 30 Under 30 program
Collaborate with social media and marketing departments to generate donor-relevant communications
Other duties as assigned
Additional Salary Information: This is a part-time position, not to exceed 25 hours per week.
