The Denver Performing Arts Complex (DPAC) is seeking two highly motivated and creative special events experts to coordinate logistics for all outdoor events and manage front of the of the house daily operations throughout the complex.
The Manager of Special Event Operations will be the main liaison between clients and the DPAC Venue team for Sculpture Park, Galleria and other assigned events. This position is expected to manage all events from start to finish as well as assist with theatre events and manager on duty responsibilities as needed. This position is required to coordinate the needs of clients with the requirements of the City. The MSEO is subject to long irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Unpredictable situations will arise, so you must be passionate about events and have attention to detail to make them a success.
The Patrons Services Manager will be responsible for all aspects of front of the house operations during events in the Denver Performing Arts Complex. This position performs professional level work coordinating events across multiple stakeholders across all Denver Performing Arts Complex venues. Stakeholders include the City and County of Denver, resident companies, professional partners, contracted catering, custodial, and security services, Denver Police and Fire Departments and multiple other clients and vendors who utilize our venues. Individual reports to the Assistant Venue Director.
The Denver Performing Arts Complex (DPAC)is the largest performing arts complex under one roof, and the second-largest center of its kind in terms of number of venues and seating capacity. Connected by an glass roof 80 feet above ground level, DPAC houses ten performance spaces on its four-block, 12-acre site. The Denver Performing Arts Complex is home to a Tony Award-winning repertory theatre company, Broadway touring productions, contemporary dance and ballet, magnificent chorales, a major symphony orchestra, internationally-acclaimed opera and more.
Bachelor's Degree in event management or related field.
Minimum of three years of experience coordinating and implementing events across multiple theatres and/or venues.
A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements on a year for year basis.
Have excellent oral, written communication and time management skills.
Sales experience a plus
Be proficient at Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel and Power Point
Flexible Schedule (days/nights, weekends)
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and over significant distances
