| POSITION SUMMARY In 2014 the City of Clarksburg purchased the historic Robinson Grand Theater, which had stood vacant for years, with the goal of sparking arts, culture and economic activity in the region. Once completed, the Art Deco style venue will serve as a state-of-art hub for local, regional and national performances, featuring concerts, movies, plays, recitals, events, banquets and traveling art exhibits. |
The Executive Director is responsible for guiding the various aspects of the current renovation/restoration and reopening the historic Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center (RGPAC) as well as booking performances and design programs. The Executive Director oversees the operation of the Center including staff development, fundraising, marketing and public relations, education and outreach. The Executive Director represents the Center in the community and actively promotes its mission to provide vibrant arts and culture activities for the region.
The applicant must have at least five years in a senior management position in a related field. The successful applicant will be subject to complete a personal background check.
