| The Booking Manager will be responsible for supporting the Vice President of Booking in designing and developing the programming content in the company’s East Coast Regional Properties to meet the overall strategy and objectives as outlined by the Corporate Entertainment Team and property leadership. This position will have primary responsibility for overseeing the accuracy of booking calendars at assigned venues. This position will support all directives of Corporate Entertainment and will assist in providing financial and operational information and projections as necessary for management to set policy and make timely decisions to actively compete in multiple dynamic entertainment markets. All duties are performed in accordance with company and property policies, practices, and procedures. |
• Primary venues: Mass Mutual Center, Springfield, Mass; National Harbor Theater; Borgata Events Center. • Act as primary point of contact for Mass Mutual and Borgata to book appropriate and financially viable content in the venues. • Manage the venue scheduling process and act as primary point of contact for designated MGM Resorts International venues for external and internal clients and vendors, utilizing calendar management software such as EventBooking.com and/or other products to maintain venue schedules. • Liaise, communicate, and award calendar date holds with event promoters, producers and meeting/event planners based on established protocols, venue availability and discretion. • Assemble pro formas, work closely with promoter representatives to review and determine accuracy of co-promoted offers and internal pro formas. Work closely with property management and Corporate Entertainment for approvals and processing of offers. • Interface with Marketing teams and promoters to maximize ticket sales. • Run point on settlements in conjunction with property and Corporate Finance teams. • Ensure deals are executed in accordance with contractual deal terms and that shows are properly shepherded through the process so as to leave promoters and artists exceedingly satisfied with their experience. • Make scheduling recommendations to senior management based on historical performance, current trends, surrounding events and calendar availability. • Collaborate with MGM Resorts corporate and property sales teams to assist in booking Convention clients utilizing various entertainment venues while maintaining flexibility to maximize publicly ticketed event bookings. Reconcile entertainment venue calendar system information with Sales calendar management systems such as Daylight and Delphi. • Ensure the timely, effective, efficient and correct flow of communication between clients, property leadership and senior entertainment executives. • Provide on-site guidance on certain show days as needed. • Follow up on confirmed events with ticketing, hospitality and operations teams to ensure accuracy. • Work in an integrated manner with property management to understand demographics, branding and booking objectives. • Provide day-to-day management support of all event scheduling and booking functions including pro formas, offers, tour histories event related contracts and post event summary. • Maintain Lead Sheets in real time for assigned properties. • Produce and monitor Competitor Grids. • Assist VP in sharing information with Contract Managers for various venues including but not limited to drafting, tracking, and summarizing deal points. • Develop, foster, and maintain business relationships with artists’ managers and agents, event promoters and producers, and key entertainment partners such as sponsors and vendors. • Assist VP in managing components of the master strategy for major event procurement and assist in the coordination of a balanced approach in programming designated venues based on the individual property’s goals and initiatives. • Maintain effective relationships with a wide variety of industry decision makers across all levels and types of entertainment. • Interface with various event producers and promoters to ensure proper execution of all event related activities. • Perform other job related duties as requested.
