The Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting and soliciting event space sales for the New Orleans Morial Convention Center, with an emphasis toward new business development by promoting and increasing the awareness of the NOMCC to accounts in assigned markets as well as collaborating with the sales team and hospitality community in a cooperative and expeditious manner on the planning and execution of joint sales efforts.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and two to four years related experience and/or training in a convention, hotel and/or large multi-purpose facility desired. CMP, CEM and/or CGMP preferred. Thorough knowledge of the national meetings and exposition industry and demonstrated experience in sales that include new sales development and a proven record for closing such sales required.
