DESCRIPTION: Identifies, implements and directs business strategies that ensure sound, service-oriented day-to-day management, building maintenance and operations, and long-term planning, consistently attracting local, regional and international conventions and meetings, exceeding visitor expectations. Oversees the acquisition, scheduling and completion of all events held at the facility.Develops, communicates and monitors policies, procedures, technology, performance standards, work productivity, and workflow to ensure efficiency, completion of work, and risk control. Prepares and recommends annual budget for Authority approval and prudently manages resources within those budget guidelines. Interviews, hires, trains, assigns, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines personnel. Oversees and manages all accounts, contracts, labor and financial issues related to the Center and ensures the Authority is kept fully informed on the condition of the Center and all important factors influencing it. Participates in various meetings in the community and region, professional forums and industry related events and training, maintains knowledge of current trends and innovations within the facility management field. Represents the Facility to other venues, departments, clients, elected officials, outside agencies and members of the community. Works closely with the Columbus Convention & Visitors Bureau with their marketing efforts. Performs other related duties as required.
