Reporting to the Assistant Executive Director, the Director of Operations oversees the Operations, Audio Visual, and Facility Maintenance departments, providing leadership and assistance toward achieving departmental goals. This position ensures everyone in the department is properly trained to provide excellence in customer service and in all aspects of the department’s operations.

-Oversees and provides direction to the Operations Department, AV, and Facility Maintenance.
-Ensures successful event coordination through communication with all departments.
-Ensures building is maintained and operating at Boise Centre standards.
-Provides leadership and trains department employees in all facets of department functions and ensures all Boise Centre and Operations department policies and procedures are followed.
-Works as a team player, sharing knowledge and skills.
-Coordinates, integrates and reviews the development of annual operating budgets and equipment needs.
-Assists department managers in the development of policies and procedures.
-Monitors facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well maintained.
-Sets goals and deadlines for the facilities and operations.
-Participates in the selection, training, evaluation and management of Operations Department.
-Analyzes internal processes and recommends and implements procedural or policy changes to improve operations and facilities management.
-Supervises maintenance and monitors facility utility systems for building and client use.
-Supervises maintenance of Grove Plaza lighting and equipment.
-Assists the Assistant Executive Director in administering safety and security program for Boise Centre.
-Supervises maintenance of Boise Centre marketing and sales offices. Oversees client and employee key control.
-Represents the Boise Centre management with providers, designers, and contractors on capital improvements.
-Assists project manager on District projects.
-Manages Boise Centre’s recycle program.
-Maintains open communication between clients, contractors, employees and the public by providing technical facility information and establishing effective working relationships.
-Sets and attends weekly department meetings and communicates regularly with the Assistant Executive Director and Executive Director.
-Creates, reviews and conducts annual performance reviews.
-Prepares event billing for all operational charges.
-Oversees and approves event billing for audio visual charges.
-Checks and verifies payroll for operations, audio visual, and maintenance departments.
-Provides expertise regarding the facility’s technical capabilities for professional presentations.
-Maintains records and prepares reports and correspondence as necessary.
-Other duties as assigned.
