The Booking Manager position is located at Bojangles’ Coliseum and Ovens Auditorium and is with the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority under the direction of the General Manager. The Booking Manager is primarily responsible for creating, booking and maintaining promoter relationships for events. Essential job functions include: responding to business leads, developing and coordinating with staff to create customized proposals, assisting in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, providing information to inform potential clients of facility amenities, activities, and services; assisting in budget preparation; and monitoring and forecasting operational expenditures and revenues.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sports & Entertainment, or related field. A minimum of 5 years' related experience in a similar venue, multi-venue and/or event complex. Experience negotiating facility use agreements. Knowledge and experience in event promotion, booking, operations and administrative procedures. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Software experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and event management systems (Ungerboeck).
