Manages and implements the solicitation, booking and promotion of meeting space to local, state and regional market segments; responsible for the attainment of short-term and long-term financial sales goals, sales strategies and plans; manages Sales Specialist.
dentifies organizations within market segments which can be potential customers of the Civic Center. Manages the rebooking of current Civic Center clients. Meets or exceeds sales quota goals established by Civic Center Director. Manages and directs the work of the Sales Specialist to meet financial sales goals. Manages efficient allocation of meeting/exhibit space at the Civic Center to best maximize revenue and reduce labor and turn-over expense. Stimulates the constant improvement of upselling methods and productivity. Administers the bookings in EMS database system. Represents the Civic Center at sales trade shows. Manages rental contracts; processes for signature and deposits. Participates in the development of the overall Civic Center business plan, budget, plans, sales goals and objectives; and recommends programs and policies to achieve those goals and objectives. Conducts site tours for existing and prospective clients. Manages Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for potential clients. Oversees various initiatives: FAM Tours, Sales Blitz's, and Trade Shows. Manages and produces sales reports. Ensures all events are booked in compliance with Civic Center policies and procedures. Attends and participates in workshops, seminars, meetings, and other training programs to keep abreast of current practices. Assists on special projects as required by the Civic Center Director. Performs related work as required by job assignment.
Knowledge of sales and marketing principles necessary to sell and promote a facility within the size and scope of the PSL Civic Center.
Knowledge of sales and marketing budget preparation and strategic planning.
Strong analytical skills to determine quality of business and best suited business opportunities for the Civic Center.
