This key position at the new Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts will serve as a multi-faceted manager for booking and overseeing special events in a new, state-of-the-art performing arts center located in downtown Greensboro, NC operated under the management of the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. Under the direction of the Coliseum Complex booking division and a Tanger Center General Manager, this position oversees the PAC calendar of events, prepares event budgets, event contracts and tracks insurance, deposits and paperwork for hosting successful PAC events. Space rentals shall not only include the main seating venue but also, Phillips Hall lobby, three meeting rooms, a patio and an outdoor terrace. This position will have a goal to maximize usage of the venue to provide revenue producing opportunities for events in this new downtown venue. This position will manage lobby and meeting room events and communicates basic service and staffing requirements to staff for proper presentation of those events. This position serves as lead on-site contact with event promoters from contracting events, communicating promoters commitments, fulfilling documented letters and contracts along with other needs through the conclusion of the event.Excellent communication skills over the telephone, email and text are required with the ability to take detailed notes for tracking contract requirements. This position will coordinate major bookings with the Coliseum booking division related to Touring Broadway and Concerts. The Tanger Center is projected to host more than 150 performances annually plus meeting room and lobby events. This will include 72 Broadway, 20 Symphony, 7 Speaker-Opera, 10 Family Shows, and 45 to 50 concerts and special events such as graduations, recitals, cheerleading and dance events, etc. This position will play a key role in promoters and shows having a successful engagement and returning annually which is a goal. This position will assist the business department by providing information for the financial settlement of events.This job is Exempt and is not subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards
Bachelor Degree "OR" an equivalency of an Associate Degree with nine years of work experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, Travel and Tourism or related degree.
Three to Five years of related experience in event management/or lead supervisory experience within a public assembly facility with specific experience in booking or marketing.
Experience in Microsoft Office software.
Extensive knowledge of budgeting events in creating a profit and loss analysis on event sales.
An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience working with a booking software (i.e. Concentrics or other CAD software)
Experience / knowledge understanding what CAD software provides for events.
Work Schedule: Wednesday - Tuesday; (includes nights, weekends and holidays).

Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts will be a state-of-the-art facility with a seating capacity of approximately 3,000. The venue will be located in downtown Greensboro.
The Tanger Center is projected to host nearly 150 events per year and will be managed by the staff of the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. The Tanger Center will host a diverse variety of events including concerts, Guilford College’s Bryan Series, Greensboro Symphony Orchestra performances, comedy shows and all types of family entertainment including Broadway and other live theatrical productions.
