GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: The Engineering Manager is primarily responsible for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing system, Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems for the Enterprise Center. These duties include ongoing monitoring of system connectivity, scheduling and implementation of enhancements and upgrades, analysis and design of enhancement requests, user administration, user training and support. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of physical plant management, supervisory skills and experience in work crew supervision in facility operations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Computer proficiency required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, ISS 24/7, BMS, CMMS
Working knowledge of event services, and facility Operations
Principles and design techniques involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
Architectural and engineering design, documentation, and detailing practices
Serve as in-house technical resource for Enterprise Center Building Management System(s) and its integration to HVAC, lighting, generator, occupancy, and other building systems
Responsible to create and implement energy conservation measures.
Implementation of new building automated control systems for HVAC, Lighting, Event Programing and Energy Management Systems
Coordinate and manage requisitions, invoices, and associated project documentation
System Administration of new and existing Building Management Systems · Detailed knowledge of the BMS software applications and hardware platforms
Capable of managing multiple projects and people at one time
Ability to manage projects with a large budget
Manage the interoperability and integration of BAS, BIM, CMMS, GIS, and other facilities management systems and tools
Maintain data, model, and document quality and integrity
Establish documented processes, procedures, and workflows
Read and understand architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil drawings, as well as related specifications
Balance a wide array of tasks, responsibilities and priorities efficiently and simultaneously
Effectively communicate and present technical information and concepts
Train and provide technical assistance to others
Work effectively in a team environment
Learn the characteristics of new systems and update skills to adapt to changing technology.
Ensuring effective, safe, efficient and uninterrupted operations of mechanical systems and equipment, building controls and equipment.
Responsible for quality indoor air and a comfortable environment for the Enterprise Center.
Responsible for building automation operational oversight of the daily operation and management of mechanical, HVAC and electrical systems and components.
Prepares specifications, cost estimate documents, bidding documents, and technical reports for facilities projects.
Generates data and reports and provides operational analysis related to facilities performance metrics, capital construction projects, and space inventory. Participates in safety, ADA, and emergency planning by generating safety logs and protocols, logistical renderings, and risk/hazard data, analysis, and reports.
Apply Industry Established Safety Standards
Assist in the direction of the department staff when dealing with environmental needs and requirements.
Review schedules, reports, material inventories and costs to maximize effectiveness of the facility operation programs. Submit reports and improvements plans to the Senior Director, Building Operations for approval and implementation.
Maintain proper dress attire for self and all personnel assigned as instructed by Enterprise Center Management.
Assist in the supervision and monitoring of contractual services as it relates to the Enterprise Center and its needs.
Ability to multi-task and meet various deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Knowledge in determining and coordinating logistical needs for very large events, preferably in a large sports arena or event facility.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with attention to detail
Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills.
Must be flexible with working nights weekends, and holidays.
Assist other department when needed. Be a team player
Other Duties as Assigned
Experience in a public assembly facility management, hospitality management, business administration or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience of increasing responsibility in a professional sports facility.
Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a diverse group of people on a professional and personal levels
